Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes, even the strongest among us need a little help to work through life’s more challenging problems. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, or any other issue, you should know there is hope for a better tomorrow. You might initially be hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you do, feel confident that you are taking a courageous first step toward getting to a better place in life.

As a counselor, Stan realizes that no single modality works for everyone, and more so, knows that getting caught up in the specific type of therapy being offered can be counterproductive. Stan instead works in a Rogerian, relationship-first manner, allowing the issues to come to the surface naturally through the course of therapy. Stan, whom clients often describe as “warm” and “easy to talk to,” utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive processing therapy as well as motivational interviewing and humanistic approaches. This “tool box” is utilized in an unobtrusive way that does not crowd out the humanity or force the relationship between Stan and his clients.

Stan’s life experience with his own family, multiple businesses, agencies, and in private practice has provided a wealth of knowledge that is always available to support the client and their concerns.
