Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes, even the strongest among us need a little help to work through life’s more challenging problems. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, or any other issue, you should know there is hope for a better tomorrow. You might initially be hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you do, feel confident that you are taking a courageous first step toward getting to a better place in life.
As a counselor, Stan realizes that no single modality works for everyone, and more so, knows that getting caught up in the specific type of therapy being offered can be counterproductive. Stan instead works in a Rogerian, relationship-first manner, allowing the issues to come to the surface naturally through the course of therapy. Stan, whom clients often describe as “warm” and “easy to talk to,” utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy and cognitive processing therapy as well as motivational interviewing and humanistic approaches. This “tool box” is utilized in an unobtrusive way that does not crowd out the humanity or force the relationship between Stan and his clients.
Stan’s life experience with his own family, multiple businesses, agencies, and in private practice has provided a wealth of knowledge that is always available to support the client and their concerns.

My goal as a therapist is to develop a connection with my clients. I believe that there is hope for every individual, couple, and family. Clients can become more confident in their roles, more satisfied in their relationships, and more aware of how their lives have shaped them. It is a shared experience in which my clients can explore how life can be more satisfying and fulfilling. I tailor my work with my clients to provide an environment for them to reach their potential and believe in the power of change. I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families dealing mood disorders (such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder and Anxiety) as well as substance abuse, self-defeating patterns, aggression, adjustment issues, suicide, failing marriages, difficult divorces, life threatening illnesses, and parenting issues.

I saw Marianne when I left my husband and she was a GREAT help to me. She helped me with my anxiety, (which was sometimes overwhelming), finances, and depression. Marianne is a welcoming and warm person. I wish her the best of luck in her new venture!
Client
Marianne Bartos was able to help me with anxiety. I was having panic attacks and she encouraged and taught me to practice breathing techniques and also meditation. These methods were very helpful to me! She is an excellent counselor and I would recommend her highly.
Client
Stan was very professional and thorough. He explained his role and the standards he would uphold for the public and DOT. He also listened to my point of view during the assessment to better understand my situation and recommend a course of action. He made clear what was expected of me. Stan also went way above and beyond what I would consider part of his job. He was a great help and resource. Thank you.
Client
Really enjoyed talking with Stan on way to recovery. Also enjoyed connecting with him on other family issues.
